A Word Of Advice From A Farmer.

My friend George is a farmer. He farms 27 acres of organic produce. He is best known for the strawberries that come out of the field in February and the heirloom tomatoes that will be in our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) baskets in a few weeks.

George isn't much given to words of wisdom unless it involves soil, water, produce or some combination thereof.

Recently I made George my designated "farm consultant." He is my "go to guy" for all farm, farming, farmer and livestock-related questions as I pursue a dream of owning my own farm.

Struggling with the disappointment of finding a property that turned to be less than what I was expecting, George told me to let it go and keep on looking because, "Dreams are for realizng, not compromising."
