I was talking with my sister about a life coaching exercise. The purpose of the exercise was to come up with a list of personal needs to ferret out whether they were met or denied and what to do about it.
Naming "needs" seems too simple an inquiry for me. Needs are basic: food, shelter, water, sunshine, air, and so on. The stuff of survival.
Naming "wants" seems a bit too materialistic. I want a [fill in the blank].
But what about "desire"? Desire is a step up the ladder. Desire is the beginning of all creation.
When we desire something we invite it to come to us, because what we seek is seeking us - right?
What do you desire so much you are willing to allow it to come to you, receive it with welcome, and in the process of creation give back your heart to itself?
